This beautiful Candle Light Blessing is crafted from 100% acid-free paper. The intricate papercut celebrates the Shabbat candle-lighting ceremony and honors its beauty and meaning. The design combines colorful hand painting with delicate papercutting, creating a warm and expressive artwork.

Every Shabbat, just before sundown, a Jewish woman lights the Shabbat candles. She then recites a special prayer. I created this papercut as a tribute to this timeless Jewish ritual of light, faith, and continuity.

At the center of the piece, the Hebrew candle-lighting blessing appears in clear black type, along with additional prayers traditionally recited by Jewish women. Around the text, a colorful printed floral border adds softness and warmth. Beyond that, my laser-cut papercut design frames the blessing and brings depth and movement to the composition.

I create each papercut on fine art paper of the highest quality. In addition, I add a hand-painted background in a variety of color options, including Blue, Purple, Gray, Turquoise, Blue & Purple, Burgundy, Green, Gold & Silver, Blue & Burgundy, or Multi-color. I print the background on museum-quality Giclée art paper to ensure lasting beauty and richness.
