FAQ
Is the Ketubah ready for display?
Your ketubah will packed with a strong board in the back and matted. To display your ketubah simply open up the package and place the board on an easel. Your ketubah arrives pre-matted for display.
It will look good in the display matting, but you might want to consider taking your ketubah to a custom framing shop before the wedding so they can place it inside a frame. You will pick your frame, which your framer will temporarily cover with plexiglass to make sure nothing happens to the ketubah during the wedding. After the wedding, you can take it back to the framing shop to be sealed.
How long in advance should I order my Ketubah?
Don’t wait for the last minute! You should plan to order your ketubah at least two/three months in advance.
We will need to gather information and communicate back and forth with your rabbi until the text is approved.
An average of time for this process can take up to four weeks.

What is the difference between Orthodox and modern or egalitarian ketubah texts, and can we choose the style that fits our ceremony?
Orthodox ketubah texts follow traditional halachic requirements and are written in Aramaic or Hebrew using a fixed legal formula that has been used for centuries. These texts typically require approval from an Orthodox rabbi and follow specific religious guidelines. Modern, egalitarian, and non Orthodox ketubah texts, including Conservative, Reform, Interfaith and secular options, allow greater flexibility in language and meaning. Many couples today choose texts that emphasize mutual commitment, shared values, equality and partnership, sometimes incorporating bilingual wording or more personal expressions. Yes, you can absolutely choose the text that best reflects your beliefs, ceremony and relationship. I provide a carefully curated selection of both traditional and contemporary ketubah texts and guide couples through the selection process to ensure the wording aligns with their officiant, denomination and personal vision. Whether you prefer a fully traditional document or a modern interpretation rooted in Jewish heritage, your ketubah can beautifully honor both tradition and your unique story.
will I get to see a proof?
Yes. For all ketubahs, I provide a digital proof with the couple’s names, wedding date, and location carefully completed. This proof is sent for review and approval, allowing your rabbi or officiant to confirm all details before final production.
Do ketubah texts have to be in Hebrew or can they be bilingual?
Ketubah texts do not have to be only in Hebrew. Many couples choose bilingual ketubah texts that include Hebrew and English side by side. This allows the text to be understood by family and guests while maintaining a strong connection to tradition.
Just take into consideration that Orthodox and Conservative texts are long. In certain instances, it could make sense to stick to one language due to space constraints.
Does our rabbi or officiant need to approve the ketubah text?
Definitely yes. I always recommend sharing your chosen ketubah text with your rabbi or officiant before final approval. Some ketubah texts have specific religious requirements while others are more flexible. Making sure the text is approved early helps avoid last minute changes.
What is the recommended timeline for ordering a ketubah?
You are welcome to begin the process whenever it feels right. Starting early is always recommended when commissioning a meaningful and lasting wedding piece. For orders shipped outside of Israel, I recommend allowing approximately two months. If your timeline is shorter, rush orders may be accommodated subject to availability and an additional fee.
How do I order a ketubah?
Begin by selecting the ketubah design that feels right for your wedding. After placing your order, you will receive available text options together with a personalization form to complete your names, wedding date, and ceremony details. A digital preview will then be created for you to review and confirm. You are welcome to request corrections or adjustments before production. Your ketubah is finalized only after receiving your approval and, when needed, confirmation from your rabbi or officiant, so everything is accurate before it is created.
Does the ketubah come framed?
Ketubahs are typically shipped unframed to ensure safe international delivery and to allow you to choose framing that best suits your home and personal style. After the wedding, the ketubah can be professionally framed as a lasting piece of art for your home. Framing recommendations and guidance can be provided if needed.
Why do we need a ketubah?
A ketubah isn’t just something you “have” at a wedding — it’s the one piece that turns your commitment into something real, intentional, and lasting. It holds your promises in a way that words alone cannot, giving them form, presence, and permanence. Long after the wedding day has passed, your ketubah remains — not tucked away, but living in your home as a daily reminder of why you chose each other and the life you are building together.
How long does shipping for ketubahs take?
Shipping times for ketubahs depend on the design type and level of customization.
Custom ketubahs that include personalized ketubah texts typically take 3 to 5 weeks to complete, depending on how quickly the couple collaborates with me during the text selection and approval process.
For fully custom ketubahs, including personalized ketubah texts and made to order designs, production typically takes around 2 to 3 months.
Once the ketubah is completed, it is carefully packaged and shipped via express international delivery. Shipping to the United States usually takes 3 to 7 business days, depending on the destination and customs clearance.
I always recommend ordering your ketubah well in advance to allow sufficient time for text approval, artwork creation, and a stress free delivery before your wedding day.
When should we choose our ketubah text?
I recommend choosing your ketubah text at least two to three months before the wedding. This allows time for rabbi approval personalization design and careful artwork creation. Ketubah texts are the foundation of the ketubah so it is best not to leave this decision to the last minute.
Do you ship Ketubahs and art worldwide, such as U.S.A ( East cost, etc.) Australia, Canada, England?
Yes. Ketubahs and artwork are shipped internationally to couples and collectors around the world, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and many other destinations. Each piece is carefully packaged using protective materials to ensure it arrives safely and ready for display or for use under the chuppah. All shipments include tracking so you can follow your order throughout the delivery process. Many of my clients are based in the United States, and international shipping is a regular and reliable part of the ordering experience. Orders are shipped with trusted international carriers and are prepared with overseas delivery in mind from the start.
Can we make changes to the ketubah text?
Yes. The ketubah text can be adjusted to reflect what is most meaningful to you. You are welcome to request wording changes or personal adaptations based on your preferences or ceremony. If you already have a text prepared, you may send it for review, and it can be incorporated into your ketubah. The goal is to ensure the final text feels personal, accurate, and fully aligned with your vision.
What type of pen should be used to sign the ketubah?
We recommend signing the ketubah with a high quality pen that uses archival ink, ensuring the signatures remain clear and stable over time without bleeding or fading. Black pigment ink pens such as Uni ball or Sakura Pigma Micron pens work especially well on fine art, acid free paper. It is always a good idea to test the pen on a separate sheet before the ceremony to make sure the ink flow feels comfortable.A small test sheet made from the same paper used for your ketubah is included with each order, allowing you to check your pen in advance and make sure the ink does not spread.
How do you ensure the delicate papercut arrives safely?
With years of experience shipping artwork worldwide, each ketubah is carefully prepared using protective layers and sturdy packaging designed to safeguard delicate papercut details during transit. The artwork is secured between rigid protective boards and wrapped to help prevent bending or exposure to humidity. Ketubahs are shipped flat rather than rolled, so the intricate layers remain pristine and ready for your chuppah.
Can I customize my own ketubah design?
Yes. I love creating new designs that are specially developed for each couple. We begin with a Zoom meeting where we explore ideas together and define a theme that reflects your story and wedding vision. These custom ketubahs are then carefully hand cut, making each piece a truly personal work of art.
