Families say it after returning from the synagogue and singing Shalom Aleichem, and just before sitting down to the Shabbat evening meal. King Solomon concludes the Book of Proverbs with Eshet Chayil (Proverbs 31), a poem composed of twenty-two verses. Each verse begins with a successive letter of the Hebrew alphabet, forming an acrostic structure.
