This original Woman of Valor papercut by Israeli artist Noa Attias is a striking work of art that captures attention and inspires admiration at first glance.
The Woman of Valor, known in Hebrew as Eshet Chayil, is a hymn traditionally recited on Friday evenings. Families say it after returning from the synagogue, after singing Shalom Aleichem, and just before sitting down to the Shabbat meal. In this way, the poem honors the woman of the home as Shabbat begins.
King Solomon concludes the Book of Proverbs with Eshet Chayil (Proverbs 31), a twenty-two-verse poem. Each verse begins with a successive letter of the Hebrew alphabet, forming an acrostic. Through this structure, the poem describes a woman who is energetic, righteous, and capable.
This papercut features a delicate and elegant design, decorated with fine leaves that add softness and movement. As a result, the artwork feels both refined and meaningful.
This Woman of Valor papercut makes a thoughtful housewarming gift for a wife. In addition, it suits anniversaries and other meaningful occasions.
